Continuing on from the Ion Age Hab builds
Initial layer using Wilco Spray Primer
The spray has eaten into the Foam, ironically only on the intact dome!
Damaged area covered up with tissue soaked in PVA and will be a Tarpaulin cover and match it up with some other terrain pieces I have planned
Paint scheme pre base and weathering
I also added some other pieces on the way, these will fit in with the Ion Age table but be generic enough to serve with other games and scale.
The first was a tower l which had started out loosely inspired by the Ion Age Power Spire but could be use d which can be used as a power or communications array.
I had planned on making some covered storage for LOS blockers for some time and this terrain drive was a perfect time. A selection of boxes was 3D printed for some visible detail and the rest would be carved foam and covered with PVA soaked tissue
The crane was one of several children's toys I acquired made by Keenway Toys and have a rounded futurist aesthetic which I think would fit in well as terrain pieces
Ion Age 28 terrain set so far

Brilliant terrain gubbins! They really suit the Ion Age figures and absolutely channel the original 15mm scale terrain pieces too.
ReplyDeleteThanks! it does add more when I can place them in their own setting and I enjoyed the challenge of upscaling the 15mm terrain and vibe
DeleteAlways good to see some great scratch building alongside the purchased stuff.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Any excuse to build more terrain and I have plans for more!
